Technology

Acceptable Use Policy:

The integration of technology into the classroom is critical to the goals set forth in our district technology plan. Technology should be viewed as a vehicle for accomplishing instructional objectives. However, at the same time, we should be careful to allow teachers the choice of how technology should be used in their everyday teaching. Nevertheless, teachers should learn to rely on technology as a useful tool in their collection of instructional practices. The focus must be placed on learning, not the technology. All curriculum areas should use technology as a tool to strengthen and support learning goals. Appropriate integration of technology can provide teachers and students with a wealth of opportunities otherwise unavailable such as access to high quality, curriculum content over the Internet, professional development and instructional courses using digital and distance learning equipment.

Technology provides many opportunities to help every teacher and student to be successful.
